Horn blows 20 amp fuse
Horn blows 20 amp fuse
Howdy all,
Long time first gener, but first time poster (here anyways:-)). On my 93 W250 CC, when I connect the wires that the PO disconnected on the steering wheel cover the horn bleeps for a millisecond and pops fuse. Any typical scenarios? Great job by all by the by: lots of useful info here.

Shorted horn, or shorted wire.
Disconnect both horns. Hit the horn button. If the fuse pops, it's in the wiring. If not, connect the horns back up one at a time. The one that sounds is good. The one that blows the fuse is bad.
If both work, the one that sounds lousy is bad, and drawing too much current.
hope it helps
