Here's a video of my truck running the most rpm it ever will.

I'm still running stock valvetrain. Stupid, yes
Awesome man... that right there makes my nerves settle about running mine the way i did before. 4000 is some serious rpm for stock springs. If you ever have a problem and need more stock springs ill give you mine to keep your truck running.

Like i said, im not looking to do it again. I just want people to reassure me that i didnt do anything too bad. I see the p-pump guys rev that high with the same stuff but im not as crazy as they are.

Oh yeah, Thanks for the write up on valve springs... i did everything exactly like you had written and it worked better than i even imagined. In like 4 hours i had it done, start to finish. It was an easy job, the only learning process was on the 1st valve and after that it was cake.
I've had my mess up to 4200 or so. The dyno says there's over 400hp to the ground, but the torque is way down from it's peak. I made a few passes at the track with manually shifting (getting up in the rpms) and saw no advantage with the ET. With that, I let the trans shift automatically.

Where a truck floats it's valves vary. Boost has an impact for example. 50psig is just that. 50 pounds per square inch of pressure on the back of the intake valve.

I'm glad the How-To proved helpful.

I hope my low boost will keep things settled. I am running 1/4" of pump timing advanced and the timing spacer so i can only hit 38psi of boost. I think i would be more like 42-45 psi if i was running stock timing.
