Head gasket repair

I am in the middle of a head gasket repair job on my 92 w250 w/CTD. I have so far cleaned up the head and painted it, removed all the valves and cleaned and seated them. All that needs done now is some polishing and it will be ready to go back in. I still have some cleaning on the block as there is quite a bit of carbon build up on pistons. One question I have is what is the best way to clean up the old injectors and reuse them ? It looks like everything is stock on it and I don't have a whole lot of money to pour into it. Also, are there any other inexpensive worthwhile modifications to do while I have it torn down this far that might increae the power a bit? This is my second 1st gen dodge but this is by far the most I have ever torn in the motor.

Any thoughts out there?

Its fairly inexpesive to get the sticks pop tested and cleaned profesionally, i would recommend that.....while you have the head off, I would take a look at the fuel heater gasket, which is probably easier to replace now...and of course the kdp..and you could probably back the max throttle screw out of the pump and turn it around.....I'm sure somebody else will chime in...

i cleaned the nozzles w some "bar keepers friend" that i picked up at lowes. pretty minimally abrasive and really helped an old set of injectors that weren't spraying as well as they used to due to lots of carbon build up.

Thanks for the feedback. I take it the max throttle screw is on the pump itself. I am very new to digging into my engine this far so some I am not up to speed on all the lingo. The head gasket set came with all kinds of gaskets so I will surely replace as many as I can. What will I gain by turning the screw around? Does this have a positive or negative effect on fuel economy as well? I will take all th advice I can get . Thanks for the help.
