No need for a puller on te Cummins.

I had a little rust to deal with, but was able to carefully walk it off the end of the crank with a pair of small prybars.

When I took care of my KDP a few months pack I had the timing cover off and replaced the crank pulley seal also. The balance came right off now problem. Just take out the four bolts the hold it to the crank shaft and it slides right off.

These guy's are right on the money Watson. you dont need a puller for the ballencer. It just slips right off the shaft, at least all the ones that I've heard of or done have. Good luck.

yeah thanks, I got it off just about ready to put it back on now. that new crank seal was a major PITA to get back on though!!! I finally took the heat gun to it to soften it up just a little. Hope it doesn't leak

Did your new seal come with the plastic sleave in the seal, that sleave help's to start the seal over the shaft. but they are still a pita. I dont think that a little heat will hurt anything though.

Yeah I tried using that plastic deal but that plastic deal just wasn't quit big enough or stout enough. If it still leaks i'll just have to take it back apart and put a new seal and a speedie sleeve on. the crank has a pretty good groove in it. Hopefully the new seal rides on a different part of the crank.

One thing I noticed. On the felpro box with the seal and gasket it says its for non-intercooled only. I don't see how that makes any difference at all!!??
