You might consider simply folding up a piece of heavy coat-hanger wire as such ~





And slip that boy in there like this. ~





While you're in there, be sure to tighten and lock-tight all the cover bolts you can get to.

i need to run my 93 in the shop this winter for the pin hold down. thanks for the pics. my brothers 97 came out and he had to replace the front cover.
