Gov Spring And Throttle Cable

Does anybody have a problem with the heavier gov spring making thier skinny pedal hard to push? The 3200 gov spring was on my truck when I bought it and the skinny pedal is fairly hard to push. Is it just the nature of the spring or is my throttle cable in a bind from over the years and needs replaced? thanks.

They come standard that way. They also cut cruddy inside the sheaf, which makes it worse. Some have tinkered with the spring on the throttle to relieve tension.

the Kick down cable on the 727 if it's an auto will be the main cause for pedal resistance. when I got rid of the auto, the pedal was so easy to press, it took a bit to get used to the feel of the truck again.
