I am looking to swap my auto for a getrag. I have a line on a 1991 w350 4x4 but it is a gas job. will this work on my cummins? thank you for any input.

Nope, If its a 91 w350 with a gasser. It'll have a light duty nv4500. "gas version"...heck it might even have a new process 4 speed granny in it , i'm not up on gas jobs

the getrag 360 was only used in 89-93 dodge cummins trucks....thats why noones heard of it most the time [laugh]

From the New Venture installation manual page 3, Introduction:

In 1993, General Motors and Chrysler teamed up to manufacture a transmission referred to as the New Venture transmission. The NV4500 is used in both GM & Dodge truck applications.
Then on page 7 it says mid-1992 to 1993 Dodge code DA & DB.
So if it's a pre-1992 original transmission it shouldn't be a NV4500 because they were not yet invented. Now if it's been swapped, then who knows what could be in there. Time to go and inspect it.
