My 66 GTO was considered a sedan. even with the tripower, four speed and safetytrac rearend. I had a lot of fun with that car.

Most of the money I've sunk into my ol turd is because I wanted to, not because I had too. Can't say the same for the newer turd. When the guberment bans diesels, then they can pry my 1st gen out of my cold dead greasy fingers!

I would spend $20,000.00 and have a full air suspension, crab steering and a new paint job put on my already perfect truck before I would get another monthly payment.
Maybe when I get old I might change my mind (or loose it) and fall out of love with my truck but for now I am happy.
I always look at all of the fancy electronics on the new cars and think will they still be working in 10-20 years ?
Sophisticated electronics can be easily designed to fail at any preset time.

Amen. I think when it comes to electronics new is good when it is new. But when its not new, it will promptly turn to junk without warning

I see more newer cars/trucks sitting on the side of the road than any old ones, and there are still a good bit of the old ones running around here. makes me wonder how many are down because of a sensor or the like.

And when you do see an old one it doesn't take long to get it up and running again.

in the 37 years I've been driving, I've been broke down a time or two. had to get hauled home a couple, but 95% of the time I'm back under my own power in a short bit. Hope this holds true with the Cummins.

I fix cars in the evenings and weekends after my full time job, and more often than not, the reason stuff comes here on a roll back or on my trailer is because of some electrical gremlin. Rarely do I repair a newer car for a mechanical failure, expect Subaru boxer engines.

BHD - Words of encouragement. It may even keep my 54 year old Plymouth beater sedan company, though I believe that old Plymouth will pull ahead in the 1320.

Blue Goose - Last I checked a CTS-V wasn't a truck.

Who said anything about a monthly payment?

Jim Lane - And, that's what warranty & flipping vehicles are for.

BHD - Bah. You've been assuming Mopar electronics are the gold standard.

mknittle - Think Onstar for the lowest possible downtime in a$$ cooled comfort.

nascar mark - Its all good. Planning storm block, P-Pump, lightweight platform. Holler at you soon enough.

Of course, I need 1400 horse torques, lots of bilit, and a 10" wool sock.

KD my rear end, you'll have 1200 lbs of swamp donkey in a couple weeks

Guys, I have decided to take my sensitive feelings in another direction.

I am considering a SIG Legion or the upcoming SA Saint.

They won't make my thumb hurt with wiping down cocked & locked safeties.

These are "lifestyle" sidearms. For those who just say "ENOUGH" to intimidation.

Deep thoughts?

But what about muh safe space!?

The checkered trigger guard makes it worth the purchase for me. Makes my 226 look like a paperweight.
