Hi there,

I am new to the diesel world and messed up my first simple job. I changed the fuel filter on my 1993 5.9 and did not fill the filter prior to installation. It fire up then died after all fuel was gone in the system. I read the manuel and it said to prime the lever on the fuel pump for low pressure bleeding. I did that but still would not fire up. I know there is air in the system and needing help how to bleed so I can get rolling again. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

 

Crack your injectors one by one and bleed til you get fuel. Once three have fuel turn it over, should fire off.

I did crack three injectors and she fired up.
