Front Airbags
Has anyone ever considered going to airbags on the front suspension instead of springs? Just mulling that over in head the other night. One of my springs is starting to sag a bit, and I had just seen a show about converted a brand new Dodge 2500 4x4 (with a hemi ) to complete air suspension. Seemed pretty nice.
I did find a kit for "94-02 Dodge 1 Ton (w/independent front suspension)." I'm not knowledgable about the 2nd gen front suspension. Same or different? I also found front a plate kit (basically gives you a flat surface and correct distance for mounting airbags) that claims to be for "1975 - 2000 DODGE RAM CHARGER 1TON 350 BRKTS ONLY 1TON FRNT RAM 350 OLD
Series: 1TON." Sort of a funky listing, but seems like that might work? Just add airbags and lines.
I already have a compressor and tank setup for my rear overload airbags. Just thinking outloud (on my keyboard) here.

Air bags would be cool. I have toyed around with the idea a bunch. To do it the right way, you would need to fab up a custom link setup in the front (radius arm with panhard, Y links, 4 link, etc.). The "adding air bags to leaf springs" isn't the optimal setup, and wouldn't have much of the desired effect.
I could be wrong, but I believe the 2nd gens have a coil sprung front suspension stock, so substituting air bags would be a lot easier.

My truck is 2wd. I want to replace the front coil springs. Sorry, should have made that obvious. I'm wanting to get away from the constantly sagging front coild springs and still maintane as smooth a ride as possible.
There are (spendy) systems for the 4x4 front that you could make work on the 1st gens.

I appologise, I should have looked at your sig.
From my experience with custom trucks and 4x4s, most any thing with factory coil springs can be put on air with little modification. If you have any access to welding/cutting equipment and can do some minor pluming, it isn't very hard or very expensive.

Yes, I've got mig welder and plasma cutter. Just waiting to get hot! But I also have no experience with air suspension systems, and want something that will work nice, not just "sort-of."
