Found my Trans leak
Umm yea, found my trans leak. 2 completely backed out top cover bolts and the rest were finger tight.....
(Before cleaning) See loose bolts. Oil was spraying or leaking onto the exhaust and smoking.... http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...9/c612a238.jpg http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...9/80bac35a.jpg Primered http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...9/3d7d1cea.jpg Painted http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...9/08f1179f.jpg The removal off driveline went smooth today, hopefully the install tomorrow is just as smooth. Just cleaner! Brandon |
Someone must have had it out of the truck and not tightened them. When I took my trans out today the speedo wiring harness had two clips that bolted to the cover on the 2nd and last bolt from the front passenger side of the trans. Were yours just hanging out?

That thing is way too pretty to put into your truck. How about the center of the dining room table. Add a few lights, and you're good to go for thanksgiving dinner. What do you say ?????[coffee] |
What's up with the shifter stub? Backwards?

I would locktite them or cross drill the bolts and install a saftey wire to anything inaccessable. Jim |
removing the side screws in the tower and Turning the shifter stub backwards allows it to come out of the hole in the floor.....
It's all back together and feeling great, the clutch is AWESOME feeling. you can tell it has alot more clamp force but it engages so smooth! smooth if not smoother than the junky sachs that was in it |
I hope you permatexed the top on reinstall.
