It was a good time, I wish mine was looking as good as some of the first gen's there. Overall a good turnout.

Nice numbers..

Hope someday to get mine dyno'd. Curious what my 6x.016's will do.
UPDATE =====

Just came back in from a 'test' run.
These 6x.016's are fabulous. Why didn't I go with them earlier...

Forgot to hook up my wastegate, after all the old sticks only got me 33 - 34 psi...
Mistake !!!
I tried 3/4 throttle and watched the boost go over 55 and got out of the throttle real quick.
Tried again at ~ 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and hit 57 psi easily then dropped back to 55. Stopped and hooked up the wastegate real quick...
Now I can hit 47 anytime I want.
In fact I had my cruise set to 70 for the hiway and didn't kill the engine when I hooked up the wastegate. Pulled back on the hiway and hit the cruise at ~ 50 mph on the merge ramp....Pulled 47 psi before I got fully onto the hiway...

OMG

Now I (really) need to get my pin to go all the way down. I've still got ~ 1/8" left to the lowest point and the needle should come out ~ 1/16 or slightly more...

I want a 1/4 mi and/or dyno

My bone stock 92 Auto D250 cranked out 118 HP and 278 TQ.

I guess I have some work to do.

It was great to meet everyone and see some awesome trucks.

I'm tempted.

You guys made some great suggestions. I'm gonna do some DD on said suggestions.

I rented this Airstream http://www.airstreams4rent.com/59Tradewind.htm

and took it to Show Low ,thru Globe, via 60.

I was satisfied with the trucks performance, but I would have liked a little more power up the steep climbs.

I think your 435s had some issues. Who made them? 435s will provide enough hp for 450 hp no problem with the correct supporting mods.

HAZY ----

I wish. Hazy cruising at 70mph and 5psi. But don't hit an overpass -
not black but more than just hazy.....

And you do not want to floor it off idle

BUT I really liked the boost numbers and my fuel pin has new marks in it !!!
Never went down that far before.

Going to go out tomorrow and take some measurements. I think I still have ~ 1/16 or so further to go.

What surprised me - pleasantly I might say - is the 40 is pushing enough air that I never saw 1300*. 'Course I didn't stay on it more than 20 - 25 seconds.

You sure your pyro is correct? I find 1300 hard to believe...BC847 runs 6x16's and TWINS and ALOT of other mods than you and he pushes like 1350. you'd think his would run like 1000* if yours only runs 1300.

Either way, if the pyro is correct that is awesome man

Same dyno. SMKHZRD and I think the injectors have a marine tip thus not having the correct spray pattern for the 1st gens. Only thing we did to the truck was swap then injectors out. He got the 435's from pure diesel power I think. They were the only ones we could find to get injectors in a timely manner. Everyone else was on back order. That truck is a whole new beast. More power and less smoke. That truck with the 435's was the dirtiest truck I have ever seen. Hazed BAD at idle. Idle was rough and the motor chugged. You could not accelerate with out it hazing bad and it would never really clean up even after the turbo was spooled good. These new ddp injectors are really nice.

To be completely honest I didn't watch the pyro. I was more interested in the boost and water and oil temps. The egt is between the oil temp and the boost gauges so I kinda saw the egt without looking ---
what????
Did that make sense???

I'll check it later today when I take it out..

Crossy's son - you're right...

Watched the pyro this time out. Easily went to 1300 and hit 1500 in ~ 35 sec.
Switched back to the stock pin set deep.
That cut the haze at idle but could get smoke on demand. Pyro still wants to go to 1500, just takes longer because I get 44psi quicker.

We'll keep playing.
And I still want a stronger spring to slow down the response of the pin but keep the overall boost up.

The spring behind the KSB solenoid where it goes into the pump would probably do the trick..
