Can't answer your first question, I believe Ace may be on some sort of "vacation" from DTR so he probably can't either.

As for power, switched power can be found not only in the fuse box, but on the plug for the factory tach. As long as you won't be drawing very much power. Works good for powering a relay.

You definitely will want some sort of gasket or RTV on any adapter that bolts to the 205 case. And if there is no seal in the adapter to the output of the 205 then you'll want a gasket(rtv) between the adapter and the GV. Hope that answers your question?

" Gear vendor overdrive

Hi everone im new here, and the reason im posting is, Ive been reading the post on this topic, I have lots of new and used parts for GEAR VENDOR UNITS.Im not afiliated in any way with GEAR VENDORS. Here is a little history on the Laycock overedrive,Laycock is long gone, they went out of bussiness years ago,A company named GKN bought the name[laycock and all parts and equipment] and built overdrives 30+ years. But july 08 they also gave up building overdrives and sold all the rights to GEAR VENDOR.GEAR VENDOR for the past 25 years bought all the overdrives from GKN. So now parts
are hard to come by. If any one needs parts or electronincs kits i have them
email me at gpyzak@ix.netcom.com "

apwatson50,

I guess I mean a shaft seal. The bearing is exposed but there needs to be a seal to keep the 205 oil out of the GV oil. The 205 I got it with has it but mine does not, therefore I'm thinking it is a GV part. The 205 I got it with is from 1990 and mine is a 1992 are there any differences?

Thanks PapeCAT I will surely e-mail him. I appreciate your guys help, and overall its fun learning about this stuff

Oh I got the speed cable and connector in place, its all ready to go in but this once seal is a bugger.

Well guys I got the GV in there but I still need to wire it up. I ran into a few bumps in the road but nothing I could not sort out. I will be asking you guys tome wiring questions when I get the time (started school). What part of the T-case does the lock out wire connect to along with the revers for the transmission?

Thanks for all your help
