dual batteries
dual batteries
i want to install a dual battery set up in my truck but i have a battery brand new sitting my garage that is 765 cca and the one in my truck is 1000 can i run them as a dual battery set up so i can run a winch and other electronics?
Not to dis-credit what Haulin-in-Dixie stated, but I have ran them mixed up like that with no noticable issues.
Admittedly, having same age, same size, same brand, mates would be optimal.
I have THREE batteries wired parallel in my truck and sometimes I will have three completely different designs on there.
They seem to last just as long and the starter will sure whirl over, even after a night with the lights left on.
My goal is to wire two of these batteries isolated, and connect everything, except the starter, to these two.
Then, I can use any electrical function I wish and still have a good hot battery for starting.
