D'oohhh!!!!!!!!!!!

On the way home from North Platte today I blew an exhaust manifold gasket. And the steering is too loose to drive it at highway speed. Guess I better get her jacked up and start wrenchin.

Your personal, private relationship with your exhaust manifold is really of no one's concern here, but if you have a loose steering issue why don't you expand upon it...

The number 3 exhaust manifold gasket blew out. I can feel the puff of the exhaust when I hold my hand above it. The manual says to remove the heater lines, I hope I can just take them loose and not have to drain my coolant.

The left side ball joints are out of the front end. I am going to have to get the cheapo napa jobs just to get it back on the road, and hope I can get the old ones out of the lower control arms without destroying them.

Thanks. You're helping your friends figure out why you have so much mechanical trouble.

I've been trying to save for new control arms and good ball joints, but with this $1200 weight ticket I got recently, the $25 napa junk is gonna have to do for another year or two.

The manifold is off, have to call napa about gaskets tomorrow. Surprised how easily everything came apart. Also got the new upper joint in the control arm. Had a little trouble getting the lower out of the knuckle, but once I did and got the control arm pulled off I already had it half way out of the control arm too.

For some reason I don't think the rotors are going to be so easy.
