Does anyone know anything about this clutch?
My Dad just got his truck (02 24v) back from a local speed shop http://jannettyracing.com/ . He had a lot of mods done, but to make a long story short I was talking with one of the salesmen and asked what clutches they install. He told me they use SPEC clutches and gave me this sight http://specclutch.com/cars/Dodge/Full-Sized_Truck-Diesel/1993/Single . I just didn't know if any one herd of them or knows anything about them. Thanks.

Well run far away from all the clutches in the top box. They're 12" ...you want 13" :nono:
I've heard of them yea, My buddy has one in his 98 SS Camaro, Holding up good
Kinda odd how the Stage3+ is better than the Stage 4 ...

I think I might go with it. The South Bend sounds like it is comparable to it in price and performance, but I read so much opposition to them. One guys experience is the $1000 one is not to grabby and another wrights different. Then one guy wrights that the $700 one will not hold the HP and will slip with simple mods and another disagrees
. I was going to get a South Bend until I spoke to this guy. They said nothing bad about the South Bend its just they have been putting the Spec clutches in for some teen years and haven't had a problem and now are a dealer for them. If there was a local South Bend dealer that I could talk to I might change my mind. Living in Occupied CT there is none that I know of and that is a lot of money for me to be just ordering over the Internet. Especially if I am not sure of the correct one to buy with the mods that I am doing. With this guy I can talk to someone who not only installs them in his customers vehicles but has to warranty his work and keep a reputation. For me its to close to a 50/50 shot with the South Bend and I have no one I can MF if its the wrong one. I just ordered the rebuild kit for my GETRAG and need to make a decision within the next few weeks as I will be putting it back together as soon as I get the kit.
I am going to do more reading before I make a final decision, but I almost convinced.

After my buddys experience with southbend, I wouldnt deal with anyone else. I have NEVER heard a bad thing about a southbend! The trick is to CALL southbend and talk to Peter and tell him what ya got, and your goals, and he will recommend the CORRECT clutch. The problem with these guys that have bad things to say is they just bought it off an online site, thinking it was the correct clutch for them, and find out different.
I will warn you, a full ceramic button clutch is VERY grabby. No two ways about it, no matter what manufacturer.

To talk to Peter, do I call the 800 number on there site and ask for him? He can tell me the right cluch for me with the mods I am doing and how I use/drive the truck?
Yup, just call 800 # and ask for Peter. He is pretty busy, so you may have to leave a message and he'll get back to you. He will tell you everything you want to know and will recommend the clutch that will suit you best. Great guy.
