diagrams

Anyone have any diagrams or drawings that you could send me in a PM or e-mail of the front hub assembly on a W350? I have to pull my rotors off to replace them, and I'm not entirely sure of what's inside the locking hub. I know there are 2 nuts and the bearings and etc, but I can't picture the rest of it. It'd sure be nice to know what's there, so when something goes flying accross the shop when I'm taking it apart, I'll know what I'm looking for!

Also, don't I need a special socket with 4 tabs on it to remove those 2 large nuts? I have one, but I think it was for a chevy I owned MANY years ago.

Thanks!

There really is not much in there, remove the 6 hub screws and wiggle out. there are 2 retainer rings holding parts in there, 1 is on the axle shaft that must be streched open to remove and the other is in the inner iron hub casting. This holds the fixed inner hub part in. remove both and slide it out. now you will see the bearing retainer nut/rings, and yes you will need a spindle socket for it and no the Chevy one probably is to small by a little bit( I have the same one for a 3/4 ton chevy) remove the first lock ring, then the washer with the holes in it. Notice the washer has a pin on the inside of it that is supposed to go into one of the inner lockring holes to keep it from turning. pull it out and unscrew the inner lockring and walla, simply pull straight off. The outer bearing will fall out if not holding it and the inner will stay from the seal holding it. Very easy, just a greasy mess If I can help more let me know. if its rusty and poor lookin you might wanna pull the spindle and replace the inner axle bearing and seal.
