DennyT and ASA intake installed......
Okay Brandon, I floored it coming to work today and the boost gauge shot straight to 25. So busy looking at the gauge that when I finally looked in the rear view mirror I was surprised at the smoke I laid down. Not black thick, you could still see through it. Just not used to any smoke. I have a feeling that all of my pump screws have been manipulated to basically "all in". the star wheel is all the way down. The smoke screw I assume is way down because when I turned it in 1.5 times the truck wouldn't start. I am going to make an educated guess that my "power screw" is in too. Which one is the power screw anyway? It's obvious that Dad was trying to get the most power to the ground as possible with the torque converter and banks kit installed. Seems he was willing to give up the mileage to feel safer pulling the fifth wheel. Everything I have gone to touch including the stock fuel pin has already been manipulated. Thus the low mileage I am starting to think. I'm planning on backing some of that off to see if I can pick up some mpg soon.

Well with the DennyT pin your pretty much gonna have to back off the starwheel. And the smoke screw.
It has such a deeper cut there is no need for it to have a such a low starting position, thats what causes the pre-boost smoke.
25 psi is pretty good
The power screw is the "fuel screw" also, its on the backside of the pump and when you turn that up you pick up BIG power

I'll be backing those babies off soon. I thought the fuel screw was also called the "power" screw. I bet mine is in already. The star wheel scares me because before I couldn't take it down or back it off without feeling like I was going to damage the star wheel. Tear the teeth on it. I got it to click down 4 clicks but it seems frozen. I'll try it again.......but I'm not looking forward to it.
So Thursday after work I installed the ASA intake with "afe" filter. Old filter and housing came out easy and the ASA went in smooth. Now I can hear my turbo. Last night I installed the DennyT Stage II pin. OMG!!!!!!! What a difference! It's like a whole new power plant. It felt like when I first started down the street that the response was already better. Then I put the foot into it and she jumped up and ran down the street like never before. Very cool! There you go Brandonn, The sig list is getting longer and the pin is in.

It did take awhile.........especially being excited about the mod like a kid waiting for more Lego's in the mail. After a week I called them and it was on back order. They gave me the date they should receive the shipment and when I should get it a week later and sure enough I had it on. ASA is small. 1st Gen intakes I wouldn't think would be a large inventory item for ASA or PDR. I wouldn't doubt that they stock 1 and when it is gone they wait for an order and get 2 of them from ASA. One to go out and the other to bring their inventory back to par. Give them a call.
