Decided to let it go.
I have a lot of blood sweat and tears invested in this truck. I hate to let it go but I can't justify keeping it on a fixed income. I also have a 12,000 pound equipment trailer if anyone is interested.
The price you want is more than fair in my opinion. Just the wrong time of year to sell a big ticket cash item. I wouldn't budge on the price. It will sell. I would want to see recent pictures of the rust, age of the tires and lots more info on the state of the running gear etc. I would have to drive it home legally. I am strapped right now. In January that should be a different story.
I am sure it will go before. I wish you weren't way the heck out there into Eastern VA. I had to look it up.

I need to replace the heater blower motor to get it inspected as per VA statutes. Tires are in good shape. I just replaced the upper king pin bushings. I have had to jury rig a few things because parts are hard or impossible to get. Mostly heater/air conditioning controls. I fabricated a bracket and installed an extra transmission cooler under the cab. The Transmission was overhauled retaining the shift kit and adding kevlar bands a couple years ago by AAMCO. The rear end was replaced with a low mileage unit from a salvage yard just before I had the transmission was overhauled. It now has limited slip. It works better than the POS Jasper unit that I had put in five years ago. Rear brake wheel cylinders are now stock. Tail pipe recently replaced.
I don't drive it much anymore. I find the need of a big truck doesn't suit my retired lifestyle. I needed it to haul big trailers. Not doing that now.
The trailer I want to sell is the real bargain. The lightly used 2012 Down2Eaarth utility trailer 12,000 GVWR 28 foot including a two foot dovetail by 80 inch wood deck between fenders. The tires were replaced (ST235/80 16 either F or G) due to dry rot. It has a current inspection. The rated tire pressure is 110# /square inch. .A spare tire is included but is Load range E which was the original tire size.
I will post pics later. I would much rather sell them to someone in DTR that is willing to go the extra mile to restore and drive the truck.
