Dash question
Dash question
I have my windshield out repairing roof rot. There is a row of screws holding the top of the dashboard in under the windshield rubber.
I noticed about half of the holes through the plastic are brittle and broken. I was thinking of using some short self drilling screws in between all of the existing screws for added strength.
What do you all think?

Maybe I should rub my dash with some SPF30 UVA/UVB protection?
I used some short stainless steel screws with a good size head in between the factory screws and it looks great!

In my 91 the dash was trashed but i was lucky and found a nice one in the junkyard.(I wouldn't recomend this to anyone else)I got everything else loose and carefully broke around those screws and tucked it under my windshield the best I could. It wasn't perfect but was much better than the one I had.
That dash is nice and tight w/ the extra screws.
The one in my 92 kinda squeaks going down the road. Not sure where the squeak is from, but i'm wondering if it's a few cracked screw holes like I fixed in the other truck?
