I am setting up my truck to be the tow and recovery truck for our dedicated offroad rigs. I wanted some better covers for the diffs and these are the ones I choose. Prices were around $100 for the front and $150 for the rear.

I wanted some type of front diff cover that would give me a little more protection. I found this cover, made by TrailDefense on eBay and was very impressed by their quaility. The are very heavy cast Iron with recessed bolts. The also have reusable, steel core diff gaskets. This unit was powdercoated.



For the DANA 70 rear I went with T/A perfromance DANA 70 girdle. I really like this over a MAG hytech or PML as its aluminum for heat dissipation, holds extra fluid and provides extra support. It is VERY heavy aluminum and allows you to preload/support the diffs main bearing caps.

I run that same cover on my 70. It is of very good quality and certainly heavy-duty. If I had the whine about something, it'd be that the cover doesn't come with the typical magnet to catch the tramp metal.
