DNR, I had the 5050XL on my 04 and hated it! That non resonated 4040 sounds great on the 12 valves!!! Your stronger than me, I would have started it already!

hmm... well I got the 4040xl, which is the reasonated one... I don't think it will make that much difference when I'm on it... Do you have the 4040, the shorter one, or the xl like me.. I really like the way the 5050xl sounds on my truck.. It is real deep and then when I hit like 2500 rpm it raps out and sounds cool... I know it is killin me, If it isn't raining tomorrow, I might pull it out and see what It sounds like.!!!

You are adding another sweet part to an already sweet truck. It is looking very good!

I just have the 4040 on my 92, not the 4040XL. I think I might have liked the 5050 better than the 5050XL (resonated) muffler on my 04. I love my MBRP I have now, I love the turbo niose and hearing it spool up through the MBRP vs. the 5050XL I had. I got a real good deal on the 4040 and thought I'd try the non resonated on on my 92 and glad I did!

they had awesome prices.. They sell the 4" piping to go around our t-case... I ordered the 2nd gen dp from them, and the two pieces to get around the t-case, But I ended up only using one of them and putting like a 10" straight piece inbetween the dp and the pipe I got from them and it worked perfectly...
so all i see is 3inch for our trucks. how do you get a 2nd gen downpipe to fit? i have a hx40 im waiting to put on. will a 2nd gen dp work when i put it on? from the pics it looks like a 2nd gen dp doesnt have the right angles

Well, the stuff they offer is 4" from the dp back, but I used a 2nd gen dp and told them to flare the dp to accept 4" then I used the piece they offer to get around the t-case and made it all work.. If you have a hx40, I'm pretty sure people make a dp for a 2nd gen just for that turbo... Then you should be able to make it work on the first gen.. Might have to work around the tranny tube, but it is doable..
