Coil spring helpers in rear
Coil spring helpers in rear
Today i saw a 1993 gasser 2wd that had coil springs mounted on top of the rear leaves and had a bracket bolted to the frame. i talked to the guy about it and he said they work great as helper springs. they were on a 1/2 ton truck. Would this be an improvement over the stiff as brick helper that i have installed below my spring pack? ANy downfalls that you guy might think of? Thanks
I agree but if cost is an issue the coils will work but I find them kind of bouncy for lack of a better word, even with good shocks. I've mounted junkyard coils and it's pretty easy to do. If you load them till the coils touch eack other you will swear you have no suspension. (don't ask how I know that)
