That Blasted Fuel Screw Lock Collar

Has anybody found a good way to remove the lock collar from the fuel screw without destroying too much?

I use a small grinder and grind where the spot welds are.

I used a small sharp punch to tap mine loose!

2nd the punch. It's locked in like a puzzle piece. Pry the tongue out and you're good.
