Belt Idler question

Can a pulley/bearing be bought seperate from a belt idler/tensioner assembly. I replaced the tensioner a year or so ago, but the bearing in the pulley is starting to squeal and I hate squeals. I am hoping I won't have to buy the whole assembly. Thanks for the help.

Yes!
You can buy just the pully wheel with the new bearings installed. The bearings won't come out though, I tried this and realised after breaking the wheel that the bearings are formed into the plastic.
I ended up getting a new pully as the cost was only about 60 to the pully being about 35. I have some good synthetic grease and I carefully pried out the seals and stuffed the one side with grease. As there are two bearings in each wheel you can only pack one side of each bearing.

When prying a seal out I always pry the outer sealing surface with a box cutting knife right where the metal ring sits, trying not to pearce the seal.

Hope that helps
Diz

That pully is at AutoZone for less than $20.00.
