93 motor into a 95?

Hey guys, what is involved in putting a 93 motor into a 95 truck? if it matters, the 95 is a 3500 cab and chassis 2wd. Will my motor bolt to a 95 2wd trans?
thanks.

u may need to change the adapter plate from the 95 and put it on the 93.if you dont have one most wrecking yards have them but dont pay more than 100 dollars for it i paid 75 for mine and i think they normaly charge 100 or so.you may also need a newer starter i had to do that on mine.i hope that helps good luck and enjoy.

'95 was a P-pump engine and the engine controls are different. (gauges, senders, shut-down solinoid, etc) It is the same basic engine though. You may just have to adapt the dash workings and trans controls if an auto.
