The steering coupler on the ole Dodge is gettin a bit sloppy. I went to the dealer to pick one up but they say they are no longer stocking the part. Anyone know where I can get one?

You can buy the kit to rebuild the coupler from napa.

Why don't you just upgrade to the borgeson HD shaft with the u-joint in it and be done?

 

Didn't know anything about the borgeson HD shaft with the u-joint. Does the Ujoint have a grease fitting?? Anyway where do you get this thing. What do they go for?

Went to the Borgeson site. They have it for about 200 bucks. Yet that looks like the way to go. I'll have to look and see if I can find it cheaper.

Dang man, can't believe you've never heard of it! I honestly wondered if you still had your truck, I remember seeing it and meeting you at free89w350's house like 5-6 years ago. I wouldnt get the full replacement shaft, just the lower part that hooks up to the stock rag joint. Borgeson makes 2 different shafts

Nope never did. I've been off the list for a while. I replaced the coupler a while ago with a stock one and now it's time again. These things sound like they are pretty stout.

Yeah I remember the meeting. Still have the truck, or course, but she has been retired from her pullin duties. My wife insisted on a new truck. The deal was I would keep the Dodge. She knows the Dodge stays. LOL
