Well in case the word hasnt gotten around I have recently found that you can not drive a dually 2wd into Lake Tawakoni with good results. So my question is, whats involved in converting mine to a 4x4 ?

i DID IT !!

WOULDi DO IT AGAIN no !! I am glad I did it ! I have a ausom truck now !!IF you look at the tread on this board that saids ( favorite color truck pics ) the very first truck that you see (clud cab, 10inch lift with big tires ) was a 2 wheel drive at one time !< not my truck ! but after seeing it < I decieded to build mine !
2wd and 4wd have the same frame ! but you need to change the engine cross frame ! need one from a 4x4 frame ,also you need the power steering fram bracket from a 4x4 I found a 92 gas 3/4 ton 4x4 at the pick & pull < I got all the stuff ,( brake lines, spring frame mounts, xcase cross member, & all the steering stuff ! ) If you do not have all the parts first !! I would not do it !! you need a donner truck < all my pick &pull parts cost $200 cheap ! my 2 cents !

The D60 will be the biggest single expense, but after that, you better have a list and check it twice since all the little things can add up You don't NEED the steering bracket--just convert to crossover steering, which eliminates that weak link. I think it'd be a great project

That is one beautiful truck!!

There are a lot of gassers running around with the D-60, it just depends on how they were optioned.
