OK, went to retard my timing in hoped to fix or at least reduce my turbo lag.
Guess what
The pump is at the limits of its travel in the slots. (away from the head)
Short of removing the front cover, is there anyway to tell if the gear has been jumped a tooth?

 

With a dial indicator through the timing port on the back of the pump.
