The roof line changed in 81 only for the standard cabs. The crew and club cabs both had the same rounded roof line after 81.

OOPS!! My neighbour has an 84 or 85 4 door guess i never looked that close at the roof before .See an 85 on ebay and yep it's round! So , does the roof rust as bad on a club/crew cab? We've had a number of the72-80 trucks in reg cab and never had the problem that seems so common on the diesels.

looks to me like someone has replace the older front tin with newer then re-painted it. Notice the oramge paint in the door jams. The roofline for the Crew cab never changed from 73-85, only magor changes were in the area of the heater box and bulk head openings

Around 77 or so Dodge redesigned the inner roof skin (on ext cabs) that could be seen from inside the truck (since truck back then didn't have any trim or head liners.

my 78 ccab is solid skin inside. but the sheet metal looks good along roof lines. coarse it spent most its life on the high desert of central wash.
