That's the perfect '67-'72 cab/front clip combo (IMHO). Now if it were a long box fleetside with 8 1/2" Truck ralley's up front and widened to 10" truck ralley's out back, it would the perfect truck. Along with alot of other little things like air ride, 454, blah blah blah.

I've seen some older trucks with newer beds...they just don't look right at all.

I've got a 71 GMC Sierra Custom on 8's white letters long bed, factory bucket seats and console, tilt 400/400 combo and a 68 GMC short bed stepside spare delete fender 250 six three on the tree. I'm personally a GMC fan when it comes to 67-72 pick ups but I'd take any of them. They're my all time favorite body styles for GM. I've got a pic of the short bed with a pic of how I'm on the way to creating except I've got the stock dog dish white and black caps on 6 lug military blazer 8" steelies bias ply white walls air ride and super C notches. I should have it ready by fall. I've got ten thousand other projects going at the same time so this guy is a little on the back burner :D

I just put a 3rd gen on a 2nd gen.
I made my truck into a short box, so we put my long box on a friends truck. Doesn't look good. Because he got box for nothing,he didn't care. |

The GMC is mine. The 67 Chevy is kinda the style I'm going for. I've got the air ride, old school eight inch steelies, white wall bias-plys, super c-notches and a clear title but no time. Its one of 19 projects I have to fool with. The wagon and the coupe are the main priorities on my list. So, I'd let the GMC go reasonable.
Attachment 31439 Attachment 31440 And as far as the 2nd gen bed on a 1st gen, I've tried and tried to find pics of that for ya but it isn't happening. As soon as I find something for you I'll post it. |
There was a guying on here by the name of Deadbunny, IIRC, that had a blue 1st gen with a red 2nd gen bed on it. Tried finding pics but nothing.

1st gen w/ 2nd gen bed
bought this '91 4 years ago had a flatbed but the guy who sold it kept it for his 2nd gen so I took his. Took a few mods to fit it I should have done some fiberglass work to the shell to make it more streamline.I may still. People give me alot of good comments on it

It don't look bad, but does look different due to the mid body line in the bed. Does look kinda cool with the bigger fenders on the bed.

I have to agree with you on this one... Little Red Express and the others look nice. Also i really like the old 50 chevy with the runnning boards.
That is/was a blazer u can tell with the 6lug wheels and short wheel base...should have welded it together instead of bondo.. |
ok. not too bad. The square-ish cap kinda ties it all in.
|
i like the way that truck just works with its bad self.
