1992 door sill / protectors

Hi folks,

I just bought a 1992 12V reg cab 2wd for myself it need a few interior items and one I can not find, but I may not know the correct name are Door sill protectors?

I have ordered new carpet for the truck as the previous owner removed it and the part I need is what screws down to the doors sill and holds the carpet down and protects the door sill. I can find them for 94 and newer any one know where us 1st gen owners can find some?

I will try to attach a pic of the new rig too

I leave my sill plates off and keep a eye out for water under the carpet.
It will sneek up on you and rust out the floor.

Hello there,

Sweet ride The 2wds are always cool looking with the stock hubcaps and beauty rings.

As far as the sill plates i am not sure where to get them online but if you have a junkyard nearby that would probably be a good place to start. I hope that helped a little bit.

I've never taken mine off so I don't know if there are any grooves/ridges moulded into the bottom of them to hold the carpet in place, but if not I'd imagine a piece of aluminum stock should work. What are they, 2' long and 1.5" wide? Somewhere around there.
As The Sarge said, a junkyard might be your best friend.

...edit.... Bill said it too! ^^^^

And that's a great looking truck you got.

I cut up pieces of diamond plate aluminum running boards to make mine.
