I took my turn at a modified duramax. Definitely had exhaust and edge tuner. Maybe more. I wouldve had him off the line, except Im still adjusting the tranny swap and missed third. I was only a length and a half behind him from 0 to 70 though. Then we got out on the highway and he wanted to play some more. I laid into it at 65 and by 85 he was 2 lengths back. Okay, he was in a crew cab dually 4x4, but still...it was FUN! That makes 1 dmax down, 3 strokes, a 2nd gen dodge, 3 3rd gen dodges, countless ricers, and a ford taurus.

The race off the line was from a light in a deserted town, never went over the speed limit there. Out on the highway was a 2 mile straight stretch, no other cars in sight. All the kills I mentioned were on a closed strip we had or no traffic conditions leaving town. Ive been with a buddy who kept racing and beating a ricer in heavy traffic on the interstate. Enough to scare me from ever doing that. My old roommates friend got killed by streetracers in town. Believe me, Im very cautious about where I race.
