Yellow snot.

Hey guys,

I was changing my oil filter a few weeks back and I noticed some dried up snot that must have been leaking out of the side of the engine block right behind the oil filter. I tightened up the bolt directly above the snot and got about 1/5 of a turn. Does anybody know what kind of leak this is or where this bolt goes into maybe a water jacket?

Sorry for the poor quality pics and thanks in advance.

Looks like something a seagull would do.

Looks like dried Glycol. Small leak or weep that is drying before it can drip. I would clean it up and see what comes back.

Yea I cleaned it off at my last oil change. I found a small coolant puddle under my truck this mornning from under that same area. I need to take the filter back off to get a better look at it and maybe pull that bolt out and RTV it. The truck leaks out more fluids than it retains.
