Where is the breather?
Where is the breather?
Im havin trouble with my HX35 at the moment
its gettin rebuilt, it busted the oil seals, but the question on my mind now is, where is the breather on the 12V cummins? or is that why ppl run filters on the valve covers? Is it also the vent tube or whats it called?

PUKE TUBE on the side of the tappet cover. Yes, we put breathers on our motors to help vent the crankcase and to help minimize blow-by and so we dont blow seals and gaskets at higher RPM's.
. Chris (Signature600) has a good parts list on here for the breather valve covers.

Easy, I just unbolted the 2nd and 3rd cover then used 3/4" hose routed it down along my factory puke tube zip tied it and away we go. I know Chris (Signature600) Has yet to have his tube even get damp with oil! As well as Andy (Hammer) he runs two of these covers he has some pics of his covers. I went with them due to being a bolt on and andy and chris said they worked great!
