When its <10 deg, top hose will seap coolant. I have Rotella ELC, less than 2 yrs old. I've clamped and reclamped, replaced a new clamp (screw type) etc... Hoses are less than 2 yrs also. When it warms up about 30, the leak stops. Spring/Summer/Fall, never leaks.
If I block the radiator 95% with cardboard, only a opening for the fan hub, the coolant seap stops. Its like theres some extra pressure in the system when its really cold out with an open radiator?
The truck runs the same coolant gauge wise, it just warms up faster and have a hotter heat in the cab w/blocked radiator.
I drive 75 miles daily.
Does anyone have this issue?

My outside air compressor lines that have hose clamps did the same thing when it was real cold. No amount of tightening would stop the leaks, sometimes made them worse. Finally tried the constant pressure type clamps, the spring type that you squeeze open with pliers and came stock with your truck. Problem solved.
I know Dodge recommends only constant pressure type clamps be used.

the coolent is 50% water 50% anti freeze. you probably have to much water and not enough antifreeze causing the water to freeze and expand which will push the non-frozen liquid into the overflow.

The rotella elc is prediluted... the overflow remains somewhat the same level since I changed the coolant out a few years ago. I problably added 8-12 oz since two years ago.
I see if I can find a test strip to test the coolant though.
