Don't know if it makes any difference honestly.. The FE clutch doesn't make it any easier..

That would be interesting!! Be better if it was bricks of hundred's though. My 97 auto idled about exactly where yours is in the pic, and it would also continuously creep on the brakes, so I had a dealer adjust it down approx 100rpm(before I knew how easy it is to do myself). El Mucho better-o after that, although I'd think the higher idle setting would definitely be beneficial in cold weather.

Even using that diagram which is really no help at all...(The instructions are but not the picture) I can't get that darn bolt off, I thought I was gonna break a bone in my arm because of how hard I was torquing on the bolt...anyone have that happen to em and what did you do?

Yeah, like I said, the first time it's kinda weird trying to find the bolt using the diagram. Now, are you sure you have the right bolt?? It shouldn't be that hard.

The best way to tackle it is to reach right in front of the brake master cylinder (almost under it). There's some vacuum lines but just push them aside. The screw is not vertical like in the pic. It's angled about 45 degrees pointing to the left (driver's side). The only way to see it is if you look straight down at it from the top of the engine bay towards the cab. It's the only 10mm screw in that area on the back of the injection pump.

Ok, the pics didn't turn out great. The thing on top is blocking the screw but at least it'll give you an idea about where it is.

I'll try to snap some better pics tomorrow when I'm working on the truck.

Here's the daytime pic. You can see I'm adjusting it with a 10mm wrench.

Did you loosen the jam nut on the underside of the pump first? 10mm. Loosen that, and then I adjust the bolt by hand to where I want it, then jam it again.

Right now, my truck idles at a hair under 875 (from the tach), but when warm will drop down to around 825 or so and become lopey. Gonna bump that up and see if it helps. I was wondering if that lope might be attirbuted to an improperly setup GSK?

Where do you guys have your idle with a tripple disc because of so much change in idleing in drive and in park. My truck will die everynow and again when backing up and pushing the brakes when I go to shift back into drive but if it idel up much faster you have to deffinatly hold the brakes to stay stopped.
