"W" terminal or RPM sensor tach feed?

Guys,

Need some help from the smart electric folks on the board if possible. I am finishing my 96 12v into ramcharger project (ongoing post over on the conversion forum).

I bought the wrong sensor for my Isspro tach so I need to find a new feed for it. I can return and purchase the magnet / sensor kit that they sell and call it good, but I also have the stock 96 RPM / speed sensor available if that would work. I tried it and it did not work, but I could have it wrong or be missing something.

The other option is the "W" terminal off of the alternator, but everything I find links to a TDR post and I can't see past the 1st page. I have the alternator apart because my rectifier fried so if that is a plausible option that would be great. I just don't want to screw it up.

Thanks for any help, I have googled the crap out of it and can't seem to find it in regards to our specific Denso alternator.

Thanks for any help, now I am off to find a vibration on my 04.5 that just popped up.... Yeah!!!
