Valve adjustment
I'm wanting to adjust the valves on my 91 D250. The repair manual that I have says you need a Berring tool to rotate the engine. Does anyone know another way, and where I could get the tool if I need it.

Valve adj.
You can use the alternator pulley nut 7/8" to turn the engine. Thanks Steve B.

Yep, 7/8 in socket on the alternator pulley. This method rotates the engine backwards but its works good, i have done it.
Capp, check out my gallery. I have some greeat pictures in there from when I did my valves. I put pretty detailed descriptions in each picture. |
I couldnt use the alt pully(belt just slipped) so I just used one of the damper bolts and a long handle rachet.
