Vacuum Hose
Anyone ever had to replace the large hose going from the pump to the tee to a small hose and then on to the brake booster. Down close to the pump mine feels kind of soft at the fitting Other than that it is fine. No oil on the hose inside or out. What size is the hose and can you use a regular heater hose clamp.

Well mind is not on the list. So I will have to do it. I really don't know if it will hurt anything like it is. Is there any pressure on the hose or just vacuum. It looks like a 3/8 or 1/2 inch. Can't really tell what kind of hose it is. Might could use hyd. hose looked at some today in 5/16 rated at 300 lbs pressure for another project.
Thanks anyway

I found some hose today at O'Reilly auto parts. The hose size is 11/32 kind of a odd size. It must be a industry standard every search I did it was that size even way back when. I found it on their web page it comes in 3' lenghts for about 7 bucks. Gates 27232 Vacuum brake hose. What did they do put the check valve in yours
Thanks for your help

Besides the added check valve they replaced all the vacuum hose, brake booster, cruise actuator, 4wd and climate control vacuum switches.
Basically the entire vacuum system.
Even came with a 7 year warranty.
I'm certain this recall cost Chrysler a lot of money.

I haven't looked at mine that close I don't believe it has the check valve. I have never had a problem with my brakes or other vacuum operated equipment that I know of knock on wood.

My truck was built in 94 I ordered it in Aug took delivery the last of Sept. Looks like it covers from July 95-July 96. I checked again and there was no out standing recalls on mind. I will check for oil in hose when I replace it.

I re-read the recall on the check valve. The one without the check valve has a 14mm fitting in the pump. The one with the 22mm fitting has the check valve. Mine is a 22mm so maybe I am good to go Just needed a new hose which I got today.
