trans line diameter

I was finally able to isolate the leak under the trans, its coming from the lines on the pass side, where they are paired running back to front.
Im thinking of just cutting out the bad spots and putting on some petro grade hose and clamps.
I have some 3/8 ID, but it looks like its too small.

anybody know the size?

I think the O.D. is 1/2" You can try the "petro hose" but they make a hose for automatic transmissions, you should use that.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Use ATF and heat quality hose that can hold at least 100 PSI.

Yes to 1/2 inch OD. Get some compression to barb adapter/fittings and use some transmission grade hose. You will find it in some of your better auto parts stores. I think it is rated to 300 degrees and has a higher pressure rating than normal hose.

I tried the compression fittings on mine for a temp. fix, couldn't get them to stop leaking. You have to be very careful when putting them on. When my lines started leaking, after the comp. fitting try, I just replaced the tubing w/hose from the cooler back.

hi
go to your nearest hydraulic hose / fitting place and get some of the hyd metal line compression fittings , they are all steel not week brass , and install them .
you will not have to make them all that tight and they will seal 100%.

i have some on mine to supply an extra cooler under the bed , and for a tans temp fitting ,they seal perfectly !
