What it does is basic make even a dead TPS work again. Plus it lets you to adjust it to pretty much anything voltage you want it to. I have ran it for almost 2 years on a TPS that Dodge dealer said needed replacing, Its a simple thing to do.

So this would allow me to adjust when the tranny shifts into OD? Mine seems erratic sometimes and it doesn't shift into OD until nearly 50 mph. Did you just mount a switch into the dash or what? From the diagram it looks like you just tapped into one of the wires - is that all it is?

Yes thats all you have to do is tap the one wire. I have my pont under the hood mounted so i can adjust it if i want to,, some have put the pont in the truck and can change it as they drive., On mine i also have the signal wire tapped so i can put the volt meter on it to check or set it easily. Try it, i am sure you will like it

Probably a dumb question but.......I don't quite understand how a potentiometer works so can you please explain the wiring connections on it for me? It would seem the potentiometer interrupts the ground signal but the pot I have has three posts on it? Also did you unplug the harness from the tps( it dosent look like it but I don't get how you can increase the voltage thru it with it still hooked up)? Thx

The site below has some tips on cleaning and adjusting the TPS. Looks like it would be worth trying before spending $179.00.

The center post is common. The other two do the same thing depending on which way you turn the ****. In other words one post increases resistance while turning while the other post decreases resistance.
