TPS help

Hi gang, I think my tps is acting up, my OD shift point went from 40 mph ish to 45 to 50 now to 58 or so. I checked the idle voltage and it is 2.98 with the tps off the mount all the way shut. should I try the hole drilling and cleaning or is there something else sending to much voltage to the tps? Thanks ahead of time Terry.

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...light=pappyman Clean and readjust it, I have also had to take the wires out of the factory looms from the sensor to the pcm and put them in thier own loom. Goodluck,,Rick

why does it matter if you take the wires out of the big loom or not?

The wires can pick up "stray signals" from the other wires in the same loom. So, putting them in their own loom will reduce the liklihood of this. It helped with mine at Kandgo's reccommendation. KD
