Maybe if the dealership sold parts for these I bet that little contact strip would cost $49.99 plus shipping and tax

Thanks Pap, I think mine is going to. With this info, I might as well do the clean method. If it doesn't work, then all I'm out is a little time. Cool stuff!

My mom had that on her dakota (99, 318). It only happened one night coming home, I asked around and I guess there is no external sensor like on our trucks, it needs to be reflashed. On hers it just went away.

Is a 1/16 hole big enough? It's not as big as the spray tube on my can of contact cleaner.
Will the cleaner, dirt and debris be able to drain from such a hole?

I think the photos are gone because they where not in my gallery when the forum was changed
I'll look around to see if I still have the photos on a floppy disk and if I do I'll put them in my gallery

My truck's doin' the same: erratic shifting with/without load. Mashin' on the gas is ok, just erratic shifting when I'm cruizin' on the highway upshifting and downshifting. I'm gonna drill into the TPS and flush it out. Any recommendations before ? I'm goin' on your info.
