TC Lockup problems

Every once in awhile when Im driving the torque converter will keep locking and unlocking. I have to either let off the throttle or give it more to get it to stop. Any ideas as to whats causing this?

Your TPS (throttle position sensor) may need to be adjusted. I had a truck that did the same thing. We went the cheap and easy way and went with a manual lockup switch. All you need is some wire and a toggle switch. Do a search for "mystery switch" or "lockup switch" and you should get some good info.

Check your brake light switch! I just had the same problem in my 94. If there is play in the brake pedal it could be throwing the switch when you hit a bump, thus the truck thinks you're braking and kills the lockup. If the adjusting the brake light switch doesn't solve the problem the it is most likely the TPS. PM me if you've got any questions...
