I really need to figure out how to get the 4x4 linkage on my 97' hooked up now that I have the NV5600, the only pics/info I have found regards a 98'-up truck, & it seems that on those you only need to lengthen the rod, but I have no way of mouting the 4x4 shifter itself???? I can lengthen the rod or get another for that matter, but my linkage bolted to the side of my NV4500, & there's no way to use the old linkage on the 6spd., the shifter on the 02' that the tranny came out of was made into the floor pan, is there a kit anywhere to make this work, I'm really sick of crawling under the truck to get it into 4x4, please help!!!!!!! thanks, Dusty

 

i just made a bracket that bolts on the 5600 to secure the 4x4 shifter to. it was not really that hard, i think i made the rod about 3"s longer.

 

where on the 5600 did you bolt it????? do you have any pics??? thanks Dusty

 

i picked up 2 bolts from where the tail housing bolts on. i don't have any pics, sorry.
