sticking throttle
I've got a 96 12v that's been sitting a couple years. After some tinkering starts right up. But the throttle is binding. Its not in the arm and ball linkage. Seems to be in the bracket assembly with the return springs. The one all the cables feed into. Has anyone had this? Freed it up? Or is there a part # to replace?
Thanks. |

Thanks. You could also get the recall kit and replace the parts, but fair warning, my first one, the one that stuck had been through the recall, while my second one, has not...... and zero issues with her. |
Thanks for the reply. But I'm pretty sure the ball and sockets are free. I do already have a replacement set because I've had that happen also. This really feels like its in that cable linkage assembly.

Do you know if your truck has had the recall done? I personally won't have mine done, unless I run into a problem, but if your ACC cable is fraying, it can cause the same issue. There is a website that you can check for any outstanding recalls...... |
