The large torx screw that is to be removed from the AFC to access the star wheel on my truck is completly stripped round in the middle. I would love to be able to remove it and adjust the star wheel back but I have yet to find anything to turn it out. Anybody have any ideas? Also where can I get a new one once I get it out?

if it is metal, maybe a light tack weld on to it and to a small piece of metal to turn it loose enough go break it free? just a thought.

 

Mine got stuck once. Problem is the plug is pot metal, not really weldable.

I used a pin punch and hit it as close to rotational direction as possible. A few whacks and it came free. After that I would go to a Cummins Dealer (Cummins, Freightliner etc) and order a new one. Shouldn't be too expensive..
