Speedometer correction

Any one have suggestions on how to correct my speedometer reading? I have a 97 auto and went from 3:55's to 4:10's. Do I change the gear at the back of the transfer case, re-calibrated, or both?

is it 4wd? I thought the 94-97's had the speed taken from a gear in the tailshaft of either the trans or the transfer case? you just need the correct gear.

I installed a re-calibration box from superlift.... best part is that it is fully adjustable! It also has two settings for two different tire sizes for those of you that switch tire sizes... just flip the switch.

You are correct. My 1997 gets the speed-o from the a gear in the tail shaft of the T-Case.

How do you determine/calculate which speedometer drive gear to use?

Mine is a 4WD. I thought as you confirmed, the signal is from the gear in the tail shaft housing on the transfer case. I have the same question as Scramblinman, how do I determine which gear to use?
