Ive got a 93 4x4 and the speedo is dead or bounces horribly. The speed sensor is fine/new, I ran new wires from the sensor up and Im thinking the transducer, I think thats whats its called, is bad. Its the little housing the speed sensor fits into which is screwed into the transfer case. I have 3.55 hears and a 5-spd, as I think it makes a difference.

Any ideas where I can get a reasonable deal on one or hwo to confirm it is bad?

 

I have the same problem did you ever get yours figured out? I am suprised no one responded to your post.

 

If it isn't the transducer pick up from the T/ Case, You might try checking the copper light bulb feed strip in your dash. I have had that happen to my speedo. It was a dash light bulb loose from when I redid my gauge faces.
